Ive recently had to replace my valve springs on my 351m. Now that ive reinstalled the heads,and the timing is on mark..i get fuel and fire....but it just wont start..I have poping and a flames coming out of the carburater..im stumped it ran fine before and i know its not timing...ive checked 5 times haha anyone have any ideas??

I'm betting you are 1 tooth retarded on your timing. Try this, move all of your plug wires one post to to the right--ie clockwise. Then, try firing the motor. You may need to rotate the dizzy counter clockwise just a few degrees to get it to fire but if it does, then you are 1 tooth retarded.
Thanks for responding..I did pull the distributer out and put everything back to spec and all the plug wires are all to the right place...but ill take your advice and recheck the timing again..lol i need a good flashlight to see the timing marks on the balencer
