Low Power, P1211 code set.

I hope this will help some of you with 7.3 stroke-rs. besides the usual things to check for code P1211 ( injector pressure above or below desired level ) I've found that the fuel pick up in the tank can be plugging especially if it is a intermittent problem. Remove the fuel pick-up from the tank and check the screen on the bottom, then pry the plastic cover to the housing apart and you will find 3 other screens that get plugged. the crud will sometimes fall off the screens and let your truck run OK for a while until it can suck it back up into the screens. If they are plugging flush your tank out before you reinstall it. also change your fuel filters as well. This is more of a problem if you ( or the previous owners ) are not real careful where you get or store your fuel. Since most 7.3's are getting a little long in the tooth now it could be a problem for some of you. This repair if it works for you is a lot cheaper than a HPOP or a fuel pump.

And if you don't like the idea of dropping the tank, or you want to minimize some of the air being introduced into the system from the return line, or if you would like to get a few more gallons in the tank before it clicks off, go ahead and do the in tank mods while you're in there. Removing the stock screens in the tanks and placing one between the tank and the pump makes life easier.
