I know this would probably be easier than trying to get a mass air system right?
Option 2: http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-...ng_harness.htm
Could use this harness with the gt40 upper and lower manifold I already have from a 96 explorer. Also have the throttle body and egr, but what about the crank and camshaft position sensor?
That wiring kit and the EEC-4 mass air computers do not use cam or crank position sensors, add a mustang computer and mass air meter and you're done but it won't be cheap.
No.. if you use the Holley kit you get everything you need. If you buy the BroncoGraveyard wiring harness you need to supply your own computer and MAF meter.
just grab the entire maf harness from a mustang and computer. the engine bay is small in that bronco and should wire up very easily. going this route will be about $400 at most.
This is OT but seeing your bronco just reminded me of a friend that has a 1970( I think).
He has a 351w in it and he told me the only think that was stock on the engine was the block and crank, the rest was after market.
I had not seen him for years and he showed up at the house in it,so of course we started talking bout it.
He had a holley carb on it and told me he also had an eddy carb for the bronco.
......so I ask him which carb he liked better the eddy or the holley.
He said.................." the ford 2 barrel carb that I threw away when I built the engine".
Well.... the Explorer computer would work if you had the complete explorer wiring harness too.. but... and it's a big but.. it's an OBD-2 system and the computer also controls the auto tranny in the Explorer so using it without that tranny and a rear axle with a VSS are difficult and impossible.. in that order. In other words it's WAY more complicated so you are well advised to keep it as simple as possible and use a pre '96 mustang computer and wiring harness.
