Exclamation Excursion with 6 litre diesel

I recently purchsaed a 6.0 litre powerstroke diesel Excursion and the having several issues can anyone help?
1) Took to ford dealer and they truck has rough idle they stated needed a #1 injector we replaced and still has same issue. Acts like it has a miss and want to surge @ 1800 RPM...Also, at times losses all power or has low power especially at first start up...

2) Replaced fuel filters checked pressure and had computer reflashed with latest programs at ford dealer.

Please help Joe

You may want to post this down in the 6.0L section the diesel groups.

Oh, and welcome to FTE!

We"ll you do have a 6.0 so your bound to have issues, and you obviously are, I would check to see if there are any codes, check your FICM, IPR and ICP sensors, Have you done the EGR delete mod, and studded it? the head bolts will eventually crack.

Still has miss with new injector as dealership advised. Does the computer need to be flashed again after installing new injector?

Like I said, check your FICM, ICP and IPR, which injector did he change? It may also be your Cam Postion sensor or Crank position sensor.

We"ll do what I said before, is the truck smoking or anything? check your ICP IPR and FICM, and your Crank Position sensor and cam position sensor.

oui vey ......

So much misinformation.... bound to have issues ?
the head bolts will crack ?!?!!? That's a new one I've not heard in 7 years of owning 6oh's...

to the op do go to the 2003-2007 6.0 section there was someone that posted about the same thing recently...

some suggested trying to disconnect ICP sensor IIRC? And others said it was injector...

Sounds like your mechanic did a half way job on your repair, consider returning and asking them why did that not fix it.... or go elsewhere ....

what area are you in ? maybe someone can suggest a good repair facility...
