ford c6 problems

ford c6 problems
i am some what new here,
i have a 1968 f100 with 390 and c6 it is acting up and i am not sure what it might be it was working fine.
It shifts real hard and it takes along time to shift as well i am thinking on changing the oil and filter tomorrow, but i hope that will help
