Now all you need Matt is to get the clutch setup a little better and you'll be strollin' real good. I got my HPX from Rocky the owner of a shop and member of the powerstroke club here. He deals a lot of stuff, and Like I said I'm not sure but Im pretty sure it was Tymar, still looking for the receipt, to verify. By the way Matt did you see the pics, of my paint work we were talking about?

I talked to Rocky the shop owner, about the line. He confirmed it is a tymar hose, and is yet to get anybody at tymar to answer or return a call. Just in case he was bluffing I treied calling tymar and also get no answer, goes right to voicemail like the phone is turned off. Rocky was curious if tymar is still in business his reaction was based on how they used to be is that he doesnt think they are anymore.

Tried calling tymar got no answer either called several times went down to interstate turbo supply and had them make another one for me. That and they'll warranty it for a year, and for only about $40. Ill put in in later tonight.

Absolutely still in business. Contact number is listed below. You have the email address... spread the word!<o></o>
<o></o>
Thanks,<o></o>
<o></o>
FYI..... here is the generic response for the HPX:<o></o>

The main issue with the HX mod is the hose. Some kits are using hoses under rated in temperature, pressure, or undersized for the flow needed. A proper hose will have a pressure rating over 3500 psi operating, a temperature over 330°, and be at least –06 in size. The hose supplied with this kit is rated 4000 psi operating pressure, 400° temperature, and is –06 in size and couplers. You can take a peek at the WebShots page for pics: <o></o>
http://community.webshots.com/user/psdpics

The 94-97 trucks need to relocate the driver side supply line #6 plug to the #4 plug like the 99+ trucks, but it is actually a good thing because you can use a straight fitting instead of the 90° fitting that is used in the stock configuration which should flow better. Prices for the 94-97 trucks reflect the needed extra fitting.

Kits comes with everything you need. (2) #5 boss 0-ring to #6 JIC oil rail fittings (3 fittings for the 94-97 crowd), (2) 45° JIC fittings, and the hose. The "under the turbo" hose is ~9". I can custom cut any length hose you need or sell the fittings separately if you are doing a custom install. Install sheets will be included. My price is $38.27 plus shipping.

If you are interested in receiving a quote, please let me know your full name, address, truck info. We will respond with an estimate that will be valid for 30 days and payment options. Thank you, <o></o>

Talking

Here is more info I received from Dale:
Unfortunately, I can't post to the FTE forum.

However, if you can, get on and tell the guy to call me. I'll warranty the hose and ship it to him priority mail for free. It definitely sounds as though there was a crimping error according to his post.

Or, give him this email address and I'll make sure he is taken care of. I would also like to find out the company selling them to make sure the rest of their inventory is properly crimped. Any questions on any of the hose crimps and I want to get them new hoses with proper crimps.

Thank you,
--

So, OVERSIZE you can conctact him by e-mail and talk to him.

Ok, as of the last time I called Rockin S they still hadnt been able to get a hold of anyone at tymar thats why I started calling them too, making sure Rockin S wasnt bluffing and just trying to brush me off and get out of it. I couldnt get hold of anyone either. So today since it was my day off I got tired of it so I went and took the bad hose and had Interstate Turbo Supply build a replacement one for me. I installed it tonight seems to be working fine, and theyre warrantying it no questions asked for year, and theyre only 5 miles away. As for Dales concern about the rest of the shops stock When I originally called he had to see what he had, said ther wasnt much demand for them so he hadnt ordered stock for a long time. When I got there the one I got from him was the only one he had in stock but though it had been ther for 6+ months due to low demand. But Ill see about emailing Dale anyways at least to let him know. Thanks guys.

Talking

BTW here more info received from Dale:
Jose,

I just read through the addtitions to the forum post. Thanks for adding my responses.

If you want, you can also tell them that if he tried to call and it went to voicemail, that probably meant I was on the telephone. If he leaves a message, I'll call back as soon as I am off. But, I'm on the telephone a lot and if he tried more than once it may have been an unlucky timing issue. Voicemail should have come on saying that this was Tymar Performance and leave a number. Best times to reach me are generally a little later in the day, as that is when the calls will start to die down. Later, like 5pm to 8 pm, you can almost always get me. Bad days are usually Wednesdays, Fridays, and we're closed on Sundays (although I have the shop number forwarded to my cell in case anyone has installation problems).

Thanks again for posting,

And really to Dale, LIKES to TALK A LOT. and as you can see, I could "talk" with him easily through the web (e-mail).

I talked to Dale at tymar today, he returned my calls from the other day and then Icalled him back and got through and hes sending me another one to warranty the old one, the only bad part about the whole thing is he knows the guy at rockin s very well, has been doing business for years with him. Dale said rocky always leaves a message if he calls wether it be to order something or for reason like this. Dale got joses emails, saw he missed my calls, but never heard anything from rockin s. Just goes to show you someplaces really only care when there taking your money, and once that transaction is over so are they. The powerstroke club may think highly of him but I dont forsee me doing any further business with him after this. Just poor customer service in my opinion.

It sure is nice to hear of a company that goes out of their way to help the consumer. There is so many companies that will not give that kind of support. Too bad about Rockin S though.
