1994 f150, 4.9, automatic tranny E4OD. Will the engine perform normally without terminals 55, 52, 42, 19, 38, 53, 41, 32 hooked up which go to the automatic tranny control. Also without terminals 3 & 6 hooked up that go to the vehicle speed sensor. Terminals 10 & 43 go to the A/C system, is this just to shut down the A/C compressor at WOT.

Depends on what you mean by perform normally it will run fine yea but I wouldn't drive it.
Without those, the VSS and PSOM the transmission will not shift right at all if at all. While it may go into limp mode and shift the shifts would likely be very harsh and late if at all.
Why is it you want to run it like that? could you elaborate please.....
I am wanting to put the EFI engine and all related parts into a 78 f100 which currently has a 4.9 in it. The 79 has a 3 speed manual tranny, which I will leave for now. Because I don't know of a way to make the E4OD work with the speedo in my old truck. May eventually put an AOD in place of the 3 speed manual.
I'm not positive, but I believe that Ford made a speed sensor that also allows the use of a cable driven speedo. Probably in the early years of EFI. If you could find one of these sensors you could swap in the E4OD and not worry about proper operation of the powertrain or ECM. If I were a bettin' man, I'd bet there is a way to have the E4OD in your '78 with the '78 speedo.
I know they made them for the AOD, but never have heard of one for the E4OD. I'm not saying they don't make one I just don't know of one. I would love to have the E4OD in the old truck, because I already have it and this is a low budget project. I only gave 100 dollars for the 94 model and drove it 65 miles home. The drivetrain is in good shape, but it doesn't have a straight body panel on it anywhere. It is beat to peices.

Oh well then no you don't need any of those, it will however throw error codes because its all missing.
You could pick up a used computer for a manual trans truck with the same motor to avoid all that though.
Yes there are combination electrical/mechanical speed sensors for these tranmissions, if there isn't a VSS port on your particular version of the E4OD it may be possible to retrofit an earlier tailstock with a sensor output, if there is a port then you simply plug in a module like the one below, connect the drive cable to the dash and the electrical to the computer..
Does the speed sensor calibration matter, or does the computer just look for a moving or stationary status from the speed sensor? It seems like the computer would need the correct type of speed sensor, rear end or transmission mounted and that one couldn't be used in place of the other.
