OK, I think I'm getting the hang of this. Spartan Tuner is best, the 275 tune is awesome for performance and the 120 tune is good for towing. Also, unless I can hide it, the tunes and or the DPF delete will void my warranty.
Questions: 1. What will be the result if I delete the DPF, reinstall the sensor in the delete pipe and do NOT add any tunes? Will the computer continue to do exhaust cleanings or will the sensor tell the computer there is nothing to burn? Will the computer sense the change and throw a code? Thanks for any response, many thanks for any knowledgeable response.

Reports are that after a period of no regenerations the computer will initiate a regeneration based on drive cycles. When this happens you will be in "regeneration hell" as everything will take place but the sensors will never register a high enough exhaust temperature achieved to tell the ECM to shut off the regeneration event.
it wont throw any codes but it will go into constant regeneration until you either put the dpf back on or tune the truck. i did it to mine on accident because my tuner had messed up. it blows white smoke and diesel out the tail pipe haha it didn't hurt anything though i ran it like that for bout 15 miles.
yeah the guys who put the lift on disconnected the batteries and reset the tuner and it wouldn't communicate with the truck so i had to drive to my house and get my laptop so i could reload the tunes. my buddy was behind me and he had diesel all over his windshield and truck. it looked like a mosquito truck goin down the road haha.
