08 bed on 01

Well guys, I learned why you cant use the 08 tail light harness with the 01 truck. It plugged right in, but now my reverse lights come on when I hit my brakes and my left and right blinker are reversed on the back.

I just put an 09 bed on my 01 F350 SRW. I liked the newer tail lights so I just cut and solder/spliced the reverse light plugs into the old wiring harness. The running lights had the same attachement holes for the bulbs. Also the 09 harness did not have the plug for the license plate lights.
As for hauling, just get two stacks of 4' by 4' pallets and set it on them instead of the bedside. That saves you from flipping it over. I have also hauled them by stacking car tire/wheels in 4 piles that were 2 high.
My truck has the dump kit from northern tool on it, so switching the bed only takes a little while.
