i have replaced all my door glass seals except the vent glass.can anyone tell me what it takes to do this.when i had my windows out I didnt see how they come out without drilling out pop revets.
If you already have the vent window and frame removed from the door, remove the four 1/4" hex head screws from the outside of the frame. Two are for the upper hinge (chrome) on the vent window, and the other two hold the curved galvanized window channel to the top of the main frame. From there, all you should have to do is remove a nut and a spring from the bottom of the window post, then gently tap it up with a hammer and a wooden block as you push out on the the window itself. The washers on the threaded post get locked on there, and tapping seems to be the only way to get them to let go.
Once the vent window itself is out, the whole seal (one piece) will pull out of the channel it sits in. Installation is the reverse of disassembly.
