and before you ask why the hell im getting an psd while living in the city, my dad lives up in june lake(sierra nevada mountain area) and i go visit him and want a truck to get around up there. :P

oh i forgot to mention, this isnt just he filter. it looks like a complete intake system. I was doing some research and it seems like the issue was where the filger meets the stock intake arm. Im still going to go with the 6676 filter i think.

Pull the intake off and look at the wheel and inside the tube. A little oil is normal, but dirt is not. Check the wheel for play and nice sharp edges. There should be a little side-to-side, not enough to touch the housing, and NO in & out play at all. And it should look like this, not like the petals of a flower, and no chips in the blades (your housing will look a little different):
