maybe not free, but dirt cheap. i got my whole truck for 300 bucks, and hardly a thing wrong with it. everything i needed i got for free, other than the carb...so far. lol. it was worth a shot.
anyone have pics of a 79 with a flat bed? i can't find any that looks inspirational or half decent for that matter...
There are a couple some where around here. I will look but what type of carb do you need I am almost done with the one on my truck now I am going to be going to a 4bbl so what you lookin for.

Well it depends on your intake manifold if you have a 4bbl manifold it is an easy thing to do. If you have a 2bbl manifold then you need a new manifold so that you can actually use the 4bbl carb correctly. Again real easy to do but you would need to invest to get a new 4bbl intake manifold and a 4bbl carb (Of course you can get both used and a junk yard but I would then recommend getting a rebuild kit for the carb.)
well as far as that goes, i'm gonna wait for some money to come my way...
get everything i have now together and whatnot. make him pretty. going to get my steering column, grille, grille shell thingy, and a few other misc. parts tomorrow, once again-free. this time simply because my dad's friend owns a repair shop/junkyard. either way, works to my advantage. anyway. i'm out for tonight. next time i have stupid questions i'll be back to bother.
Sweet well I can say that I wish I had a friend who owned a junkyard if you more questions please feel free to ask. I am headed off to dinner good night folks.
