Question Newbie Experience

Hi Guys,

I'm new here and I got to say this website is awesome. More info than I can digest. I have found a lot of my answers via searchs and reading the tech forums but I have a few issues I'm not finding answers on. I have a 2004 F-350 SRW 4X4 Crew Cab that I purchased several months back. It had 94K miles on it. The warranty from Ford goes up in 1 month or 1500 miles whichever I reach first. The truck is really hard to start. I have had my batteries tested and they seem fine but may replace anyway. But it has to crank a while in the morning. Start fine the rest of the day. I also seem to have way inconsistent performance and fuel mileage. I know that weather plays a roll as far as temp and humidity as I have had a 7.3 before and a supercharged Lightning. However this thing is all over the place. Some days it runs like a scalded dog and others it's so sluggish it's ridiculous. I do quite a bit of hwy driving and my mileage ranges from 14.5 to 18. I typically gas up at the same place everytime and I'm putting in the Power Service Diesel Kleen and Cetane boost. My air filter and fuel filters are fine and I'm not throwing any codes.

Any suggestions? Would like to get this thing in to the dealer if what I'm describing is an obvious issue to you guys.

Please advise!
