I have too many irons in the fire right now but I was able to get a good day put into my front bumper. For anyone who thinks that a 56 Chevy bumper is a plug-n-play for a 56 F100 they better think again. I have probably got 20 hrs in this bumper and it still isn't ready for the chrome shop just yet. With any luck I can begin painting the truck next week while the bumper is getting a bath....
every time you look at that bumper you`l realise the 20 hours of work was really worth it!! i`m doing the same thing to mine once i start on it again...great job!!!
Sorry about the gallery pics, I'm lazy and post pics on threads. This is a stock 56 Chevy bumper that I bought from a local guy off Craigslist. The stock bumper brackets work just fine once you trim them to fit up into the frame rails. I have a little more fitting to do then I'll take some pics of the back of the bumper so you can see the brackets.
