Well it looks like its time for a new trans. The local shop is recommending using a Jasper trans. Anyone had any experience with them? This weekend it just stopped working, it only has reverse. Thanks Ron
Sorry about your tranny troubles Moto (name).
First off, how much? I have installed Jasper trannys and engines years ago but not in the last 10-15 yrs. Was not very impressed with them. Have seen a few fail, but that comes with the territory. I would look at other alternatives first.
Do you have a local trustworthy transmission shop? I would go with a local rebuild before I would go with Jasper.
Before BTS got to be real well known, I read a LOT of horoor stories about people buying the Monsterbox jasper tranny. Warranty issues were out of control, Jasper would not stand behind their product. Do yourself a favor and order a BTS (Brians truck shop) and have it shipped to your tranny guy for the install. You will be well ahead of the game.

Agreed.....or...............a John Woods trans depending on what part of the country you are in.
I was one of the horror stories Brandon was talking about. I bought a MonsterBox cause it was supposed to be the biggest, baddest, towingest tranny built. Bottom line 3 major failures in 44,000 miles. Major down time each time, hassles with Jasper. Do your self a favor, RUN AWAY from the Jasper tranny. for what it will cost you you can get a BTS or John Woods and they are way better.
Hey man I am just down the road in Kingston. Where can I find one of the John Woods trans?
Well if your in TN, then I would go BTS. They are located in Arkansas.

Hey, did you try getting a quote from Ed @ Y2K on that? Just curious.
No I went with a local dealer. That price includes installation and taxes. The problem I was having with getting a trans for someone else and having another person installing it was if I had problems down the road getting the installation work covered under the warrantee. Thanks Ron
