thinking of rebuilding auto trans in 93 explorer. where is best place to locate manual for trans rebuild

This manual can be obtained from www.bulkpart.com for $16 which is a decent price. They also have good quality rebuild parts. If you have a Transtar locally, they are good to deal with. Shop around, prices vary greatly. There are actualy two manuals for the A4LD. You should be fine without the second update book. The ATSG manual has an economy of words. Several, including myself, have written procedures that make the manual easier to understand. Paper bag everything one at a time. whatever you write on plastic will dissappear by the time you need it. This is a aweetheart to work on.

Thats a really nice site for parts, thanks alot opera! I already ordered my book off ebay for 15 bucks (ATSG book). Now i just have to figure out what parts i am going to need to replace. First tranny rebuild.
