Trying to see what the factory stall speed should be in a F350 dually.Mine was rebuilt befor I bought it and it seems to be to high of a stall just wondering what stock would be and what the "sweet spot" would be?
I was asking this because mine acts kinda strange or at least seems different then any that I have ever driven. If I just very calmly start off it will feel like every other vehicle I have ever driven nice smooth take off and mph and rpm moving at close to the same speed .If I give it more than half throttle it will pull but the rpms and mph dont seem to be moving up in anywhere near the same time.Anywhere around 3/4 throttle and up and my rpms will come straight up to between 2800 and 3000 and stay there as the speed picks up.Does this sound normal.May be just because it sounds so loud but I dont know. Also the trans was rebuilt just before I bought it.It had a reciept in the trruck for the rebuild so I called the people. They didnt remeber the truck but said that anytime they rebuild a diesel trans they beef it up.I dont really think that there is any major problem. The trans never gets hot or acts funny in any other way just thought they may have put a higher stall convertor in it.
