Help to identify stall speed
Howdy folks! Is there an easy way for me to visually identify the stall speed of my converter? Tranny is a rebuilt C4....
Any help would be appreciated!!!

I read about a way to figure out the stall of a converter but I don't recommend it. Here it is though for your reading pleasure.
Set the parking brake HARD.
With your left foot stand on the brake pedal HARD.
Put the tranny in "D" and with your right foot start giving it gas. Watch and see how high your tach will go. When it stops increasing you have reached the stall of the converter.
This has to be pretty hard on your drive line!
