Ring & Pinion gear set
Just when I thought I was getting the hang of all of this; More alchemy!
Ok, I'm looking at a new Ring & Pinion (changing to 3.73 for a little lower RPM on hwy). They offer it in either "Long" or "Short" for the 10.25" Sterling. I assume this is the length of the pinion shaft? How do I know which one that I have? Was it by year or what? Or, is it long/short toothed gearing possibly? Not a clue.......
