well that sucks....that'd be a deal killer for me.....the large extendable mirrors are ugly....check ebay and see if you can get mirrors to swap over.....i'm sure those extendable mirrors are worth quite a bit......

Also...anyone know if the 04-08 mirrors fit since the doors really stayed the same....i like the looks of them better......and maybe a new truck is in my future......

The point with the max tow is to pull trailers and the big mirrors are there to see around the sides easier. Dont get the max tow package then you dont have to get the extended mirrors.

Thanks for your feedback, I don't anticipate much more than my 19 ft boat, & utility trailers, as well loading up the box with firewood, gravel, etc,etc

In Canada we don't have to get the big mirrors w/Max tow. I would regardless, but don't have to.

why not order the truck with the max tow package, then have the dealership swap those mirrors with another truck on the lot that has the normal mirrors?

if you ask nicely, most will do it without any qualms. might even get a few $$$ off the price since the normal mirrors are cheaper

yeah, the bolt right up. you have to do some pin swapping in the door for the electronics to match up though

After having those mirrors, I wouldn't want anything else. I'd like to have a set on my Fusion, but that would look like crap. The view out of those make it so I don't even HAVE a blind spot. No turning my head to look out the rear windows for me.

I couldn't agree more. The trailer mirrors are the bomb. The small mirror allows you to see everything. Especially combined with the backup camera.

When I first got my truck I tried looking over my shoulder to see what was behind me, but with the big headrests you can't really see.

Much like on the SD, the trailor tow mirrors make the truck look bolder and more brawny. I love them. If I opt for the F-150 over the SD, I'll definately get them.
