That's good news, you probably didn't hurt it too bad. BTW: You can rebuild it yourself...it's not that hard.
The biggest job is removing it from the engine.
Even more good news.....when your turbo is fixed you will notice an significant increase in performance. The bent blade and rip in the boot is holding the engine back.
Yeah that is good news, I want this truck to last me a long time really.
I was looking at the removal of the turbo earlier today. It seems I may be using some break free to get some of those bolts out. It would suck to break some of those off.
Called the stealership and they want 70 bucks for the (orange) duct that goes to the turbo itself that I found has a tear in it. The other two smaller ones that go to the intake tube are now green and would cost 42 each.
I'll call Ron later and see what it'll cost to get my turbo rebuilt. Hadn't found any near here in VA.

To remove your turbo you will need 1/4 inch 15mm and 10mm flex socket and a torque wrench. I broke 2 1/4 inch Craftsman 10mm flex sockets doing my last week. Craftsman does not make a 15mm 1/4 drive flex socket. I had to buy some Snapon sockets to get the job done.
S&K makes a 1/4 inch impact that look like it would work the best for this type of a job.
12 point for the bolts on the turbo. 6 point for the bolts that hold the turbo to the base plate and up pipes. My turbo had 15mm nuts on the lower studs and 13mm bolts on the uper.
I had to cut down a 15mm wrench to get the left hand side 15mm bolt off.

Today I called a local Diesel performance place and they mentioned not being able to get a rebuild kit for the 94.5 only the 99-03 and up. He also mentioned a new one would cost 700 and they can put it in with a total cost of 1300-1400. I told them I'd get back to them on that.
I'd rather pull it myself especially with all the great technical knowledge on here and the help you all gave me so far is REALLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still wonder if a 99-03 Turbo would work on ours and if so how would the waste gate work. Not sure on too much Turbo knowledge really except it sucks in a decent volume of air spools it up and into the engine creating more horsepower with better fuel economy.

The up pipe to turbo connection is different on 99.5+
You would have to upgrade to a 99.5+ up pipes and I think it would work.
Here is s ford E series photo with the up pipe for a 99.
You can see in the photo the 99.5 and up has a clamp the holds the turbo to the up pipe
94.5 to 99 have 2 studs and 2 bolt the hold the turbo to the up pipe. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...pipe-leak.html
