I thought I was cool in the early 90's when i had double wipers with chrome "blades" for extra down force on my 86 thunderbird. you mean to tell me that wasn't cool?

Wow, just had a blast from the past. I think back to when I used to put those on my cars and made the quick decision that I would not sport those on any of my current vehicles.

They were selling just the blade inserts or refills whatever in a 2 blade setup that goes into a single frame. I think I tried them but they sucked about as much as any other gimmick. Just like those junk triple edge guaranteed forever against tearing, cracking, etc. Yeah they last forever but don't clean worth a crap.

Holy back to the 80s, Batman!!..............I haven't seen double wipers since 1988!
A mullet haircut and a 1986 Z28 Camaro are required to purchase.

Well, I have to admit, I actually now have a vehicle with the double blade wipers:

Last known pair in existence, worth their weight in gold, I'm sure
Of course, you need the prerequisite chrome window deflectors, and this bumper sticker:

My SVO had hot pink ones on it when I got it... Taking them off was the first thing I did... the next was to remove the pink and purple pinstripes with the squgglies. Did this before I ever even got it running!

Lol, be happy I didn't put the chromed double wipers on that van - and, at the time, I thought that sticker was quite funny ... Those wipers look goofy but you'd be surprised how well they worked in the Western Washington rainstorms - I had a helluva time finding a way to keep that freakishly huge windshield clear enough to see out of and RainX can only go so far... Biggest problem I had was that the wind would lift the wipers up off the glass... I was hoping those deflectors would fit on my truck (I'm a migraineur and try to avoid contact with the sun as much as possible) but the van windows are narrower - I think those were originally off of one of the smaller newer model Ranger's but I'm not sure...

Have much trouble getting it back off the trailer?
