I thought I was cool in the early 90's when i had double wipers with chrome "blades" for extra down force on my 86 thunderbird. you mean to tell me that wasn't cool?

They were selling just the blade inserts or refills whatever in a 2 blade setup that goes into a single frame. I think I tried them but they sucked about as much as any other gimmick. Just like those junk triple edge guaranteed forever against tearing, cracking, etc. Yeah they last forever but don't clean worth a crap.

... Those wipers look goofy but you'd be surprised how well they worked in the Western Washington rainstorms - I had a helluva time finding a way to keep that freakishly huge windshield clear enough to see out of and RainX can only go so far... Biggest problem I had was that the wind would lift the wipers up off the glass... I was hoping those deflectors would fit on my truck (I'm a migraineur and try to avoid contact with the sun as much as possible) but the van windows are narrower - I think those were originally off of one of the smaller newer model Ranger's but I'm not sure...Have much trouble getting it back off the trailer?
