WOW --- looks like a brand new truck ! How long will it take me to drive down there with mine ... hmmmm lol...
Very impressive ! Can't wait to see it all badged up ! How did all the light harnesses etc.. match up ? Looks like you got a real show stopper there ! Nice work indeed...
NO it would not be easier. (and i have built a ''centurion'', see my gallery) Although it would be cooler in the end to have the modern interior, but there is no reason to cut the body in half to graft on a nearly identical front cab section.

I happened to see a new Ford crew cab at a gas station. As much as I like my '05 X, and as "slick' as I think it is, damn ...those new Ford trucks are NEAT.
Still has a solid front axle, but COIL springs-the guy says it rides MUCH better than his own older EX. Improvements of all kinds, including more powerful V-10.
So I disagree - i dont think the term "nearly identical' is correct. I have never been a FORD guy - always thought they were the worst in terms of build quality compared to the others of the Big Three. My EX sure turned me around...and I like the new ones even MORE !

i kno i cant wait to really finish it up. i cant wait to see the badges im having made should look pretty sweet. about the light harness just had to extend some wires and replaced the headlight pig tails for the h13 bulbs.

thanks for the kind words guys. i expected more of response but i guess since its not finished most people dont care for what it looks like right now.
im waiting on my custom fender emblems to be done im having them engraved to say excursion instead of f250.
yes stock core support with some trimming needed. but in the conversion kit im offering it with the 2008 core support.
and we fabricated bracets so the 08 bumper brackets will bolt up the frame
[quote=Monsta;7890279]I'm VERY impressed with the work
AGREE ! HAVE TO ADMIRE THIS GUY'S GUTS AND DETERMINATION

However, that doesn't belie the fact that I think the 09 front end design to be hideous. I'll never like it no matter what comes after it. ...quote]

I KNEW IT... I KNEW IT... IT'S THAT DAMN HAWAIIN PRIMO BEER ! LOOK AT HOW MONSTA'S JUDGEMENT HAS BEEN DESTROYED BY THAT STUFF. IF FORD WAS MAKING EX'S ON THE BEAUTIFUL '09 PLATFORM, I'D BE OFF TO PRESCOTT FORD TO ORDER A NEW ONE THIS VERY MINUTE !
BUT THAT IS BECAUSE I LIVE IN THE HIGH COUNTRY OF NORTHERN ARIZONA...WHERE WE CANT GET ANY OF THAT HAWAIIN BEER.....!
