TURTLE LAKE, Wis. — The spectacle that drew hundreds to a gravel pit down a dirt road might make most city boys blush.
But in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin, you'll find no red faces. Just proud rednecks.
"It's a little redneck, but we love it, we accept it, we admit and we enjoy it," said Brett Moravitz, a self-proclaimed redneck.
The event resembled a demolition derby or NASCAR race. But honestly, those events would feel like the opera compared with what's really happened.

A friend of mine has a party ,every other year , we all bring a beater for the derby ..No lights , only crashing is in the rear of a moving veh, or a sideswipe .never had so much fun ..we spend all of our time trying not to crash in life ,, great to go the other way ...

 

That's whatcha call some good, clean fun.
Cheap, too.
I can see this easily becoming a national craze. All you need is someone with some land and excavating equipment to build the ramp.
It will soon have some competion guidelines and become a contest to see who jumps farthest or crashes more spectacularly.
In fact, I am going to forward this to our local tractor pull facility. They recently hosted a combine demo derby after hearing about them being held in the midwest.
