Default Volume for Bluetooth Phone Use

Whenever I place or receive a call through this new fancy system, the volume is always really low when the call starts. Is there a way to raise the default volume?

It doesn't matter what volume the radio was at - it always reverts back to this low setting (LED's show about 20% volume). So every call I have to crank the volume up so I can hear.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Mine is the same and I hope someone has an answer for it, My Lexus and Camry do not do this.

Hey guys, it may be your phones...not Sync. Did you know Sync has it's own forum? It's called "Owner to Owner"...and once you sign up, you have access.

Here's a link to it:

http://boards.synccommunity.com/n/pf...tag=fordsyncmb

This is what I found on the Sync forum, as I was having the same problem...and so was everyone on there, except one guy who had the answer.

He said "This is actually not a Sync issue. During a call, use the volume on your mobile phone. The iPhone is a good example, the default Bluetooth volume is much too low. After pairing your iPhone, make a call - and during the call, turn up the volume on your iPhone. Most mobile phones have 3 volume controls: Ringer Volume, Call Volume, and Bluetooth Volume."

This worked for me. Now, my default setting is a lot louder. Good luck.

Ahh, got an iPhone and this was annoying me. I will have to try it out.

I also have another question. (probably more of an iPhone question though) I had my iPhone hooked up via USB playing music. I stopped at a store and took my phone. Once I got back in the truck I noticed the same album was playing as I left..... So I look at the radio and it was streaming via Bluetooth. This is an awesome feature except for the fact that everytime I get in the truck my iPhone starts playing music which is kinda annoying and drains the battery.

JRide, yeah the bluetooth streaming is good and bad. However, if you just use the media button or give the voice command “USB”, your iPhone should start playing through USB, if it's plugged in.

When I first started using the bluetooth streaming, it would autoplay whenever I started the car – regardless of what was playing when the system was last played. I turned off auto play.
With Bluetooth audio playing > menu button > media menu > media settings > auto play (last option) > it toggles on/off.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. Just went out to the truck to try it and it works! Thanks!

I just got the truck and haven't had much of a chance to really dive into the SYNC system.

Cool. Yeah, I know what you mean...it's a whole other animal. I went by my dealer and showed them a few things today. Check out that Sync Owner to Owner site I mentioned above...a lot of good info there.

And, you can learn a lot just by playing with it. I like being able to add up to 32 photos for my Sync home screen on the Nav too.

I have a BlackBerry, and the volume buttons don't do anything when I'm connected to Sync. So every time I make a call, i have to give the volume **** a spin to get it up to a reasonable volume.

Ah, no Bluetooth volume control. You may be out of luck, unless you get a new phone.
