Never ran a C6 in a 4X4, but why would it be deferent from a car C6? Oh and the C6 in but 1984 2X4 does not have this.

Even the 375 horse 390 and the 401 horse engines were rated at 6000 RPM. The 401 engine ran a 3X2 setup that flowed way more air (860 CFM) than you 750 was still limited to 6000 an bot the 401 and 375 had mechanical cams and lifters. Oh a thought, again I assume you are running the lifters Crane recommends and not stockers. I would suspect that Crane never intended for this cam to make power above 5500 to 6000 RPM.
At 42 deg. the plugs look perfect but, I can lower the timing to see if this helps. Also you mentioned the octane, I may be running to low octane(89). I can try to run a higher octane also. The motor has Crane lifters with a .533 lift.If I read right, 750 cfm is only good for 6000 rpms.?Could you clarify this for me?Thank you for the information you gave me. I will try doing some adjusting and see what it does for my set up.
