10K confusion

OK, I put in two 10K pots. After dawging it and enjoying the power for a VERY short time, my transmission got VERY hot. I could feel it through the floor board. I don't have gauges to moniter it. I think I am going to disable one pot or replace it with a 4.7/5K. I know Me, Myself and Copedawg, we all drink to much to have this kind of fire power (hense the reason why I don't have guns in the house). I think I could shoot myself in the foot very easily or worse. I think I need to play with "Playskool" rated stuff so I don't do to much damage. We know Myself. Me and Copedawg talked about it and we think he should have limitations.

Do you think your EGT's are the reason for the floorboard getting hot instead of the trans?? I believe your trans would blow before getting the floorboards hot enough for you to feel. My 2 cents.
