I have two cement repair questions.
The first is about my house steps - they are wearing down a bit and have a few nicks/scars. Is there any product I can use to fill the blemishes and then add a new top layer (maybe with that grit in it so as to make it less slippery)? Also, can colors be added to match my deck color?
The second is on my driveway in front of the garage. Its showing some wear and I was wondering if something similar could be done - fill the odd crack and chip, then apply a coating to the top.
Any suggestions???
I have done this a few times with a bag of Portland cement & water . I have seen it done also with a product called floor stone . Tile layers use it ...
For the porch steps, acid clean the cement, use concrete patch for any nicks and then use a two part epoxy concrete paint. cover with coarse sand while still wet. after it is dry sweep off sand that is not held by the paint. This will give you a nonslip surface. For the drive way you'll need to acid clean it to get any oil and grease spills out of it. Then you can patch with a concrete patch mix. You could use the epoxy paint on this as well. Stuff is tough and wear resistant.
