Window Rust

So after my trucks saw its first Michigan winter, it has developed some rust (around the cab lights/roof area, and windows). I want to try to fix (to the best of my ability) the areas before this winter. So how do you remove the outside lower trim/seal on the windows?

Pull straight up. But do it carefully so you don't bend it all to hell.

Ryan, your location shows IA. Did you move to MI?
Are you talking about the rear doors where the window seal meets the corner?
I have checked out several trucks with the same rust spots. Plan to touch mine up too very soon. Also need to clean up below the lower door seals.

Actually, I moved to IA in January - still missin' Michigan... I am talking about the window corner, only have one rusting so far, but it does seem to be common on these trucks.
