Computer?
every time i put the pedal to the floor or plug in the map sensor be it a bran new one or the old one the truck hp is cut drasticaly till the truck is turned all the way off and then restarted. the truck is a 96 with 190000 and the 10k mod. Also the truck was made for canada and has AA injectors and the computer is a 202 which i would have to buy then have the dealer program what would the diff be if i got a 50 state emission computer?

I thought there were only 2 types of emissions Federal (49 states) and California. I recently found out that Cali has split injectors and Fed do not. I also learned recently that a ECM (PCM) from a 98-02 7.3 is programmed for split injectors.

Also did all new hoses and checked for air leaks
this has been an ongoing problem since i bought the truck a year ago

Check the part number on your MAP sensor and report back. Their are many that look alike and just plug in but are for gas vehicles and won't work properly with diesels.

yes it throws a code withit unplugged but no other times i have replaced the idm allready new cps last week agian new potentometer for the go pedal i have been through all the wires except in the dash greased all the connections cleaned all the connections litteraly it cuts my power in half at least after putting it to the floor or the map sensor gets plugged in
