air bag removal
Hi Guys
What I really want to do is remove the cover over the passanger side air bag. The prior owner left a mark on it that can only be fixed by painting the cover. Anybody know if just the cover can be removed or does the whole unit come out, bag and all.
My truck has the tan interior if anyone knows of a crashed truck that this part could come from of if the bag wasn't deployed. I also need a couple of cup holders (rubber insert) for the console.

Painting ANY SRS airbag is not advised - doing so can affect the operation of the airbag and increases the risk of serious personal injury or death. The passenger air bag cover can be serviced separately from the passenger air bag module assembly. I strongly advise you to take that approach instead and have a trained and qualified technician perform the repair to avoid damaging the system and eliminating YOUR LIABILITY.
