air bag code 27

Truck is a 1999 f250 sd. Trying to remove front dash to access passenger air bag on/off light. Does the radio need to come out or am I not seeing the bolts in need of removal?

I don't think there are screws. If I remember correctly it is held with some sort of clips. I would just try and feel around the back of switch if you can. I may have removed my cup holder to get access. I did not take off the dash or remove the radio. Mine was a 99 F250 as well.

Came right off. Replaced the light. Air bag light is off.

Did the code go away?

I have the same thing, code 27, but my passenger airbag doesn't seem to have a light. Just a blank hole where I'd expect a light to be.

Yes the code went away. The locationof the light is nect to the key slot where you would turn pass airbag off. If light is burned out, would look like a black spot. I can take a pic later, when I get out of work.

Huh. Yep, mine looks exactly the same; I was wondering if Ford had just put a blank plate there, or something. I guess there's actually a (burned out) light behind there.
