black smoke??????
so i got a 97 power stroke stock only mod is the cat is gone and the muffler is gone.....it only puffs a lil smoke when i shift or really get on it and then the puffs are small and hardly noticable......i would like to know how yall get yours to blow clouds because every now and then when a jack a** cuts me off or what ever id love to black em out!!!! oh and its an automatic so i cant dump the clutch....thanks ahead of time ---FILtHY PRIDE

How much money do you have to spend?
1) Open the exhaust up with a 3" downpipe and 4"exhaust.
2)Install the 6637 filter mod. Riffraff diesel sells a kit that makes that a very easy mod to do.
3)Since you have an automatic, I'd install a transgo tugger kit to hopefully lengthen the life of the tranny.
4)A set of gauges would be beneficial, especially the EGT gauge. Really should monitor the exhaust gas temps.
5)Call DP Tuner, Tony Wildman, or PHP and tell them what you've got, and what you want your truck to do.
This is a lot of money to spend to get back at some jerk. However, if you want to make your truck run better, then you might find it easier to justify spending that on your ride.
6) If after doing that, your truck still doesn't run strong enough for you, install a set of mini swamps injectors, 150cc's. She'll really smoke! She'll also really run too, but you need the custom tuning to make them run right.
