How does the A plan work???

<HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
Can anyone tell me exactly how the A plan works. My one uncle works for ford and my other retired from ford. So we can get it from either one of them. My question is, Is the A plan a flat rate or does it vary from say if my uncle used it or my dad uses it. The reason I ask is cause we looked at a 2010 fusion yesterday with the I4. Stickered at 24900. They showed us the A plan price and it said 22???. We could get it down to almost 19000. Well my mom, dad, and me went out to dinner and we stopped at the dealer where I got my truck. They had a 2010 fusion sport. Has the fancy rims, black interior with blue, sony sound system, v6, had all kinds of saftey features like if you go to get over and there is a car there it warns you also park assist, and a bunch of other goodies. The sticker said 29000 and the window said employee price 23000. My dad is going to go back up there tomorrow to talk to them but Im just curious if the A plan would be the same as employee pricing. If so why is a I4 with just a couple options 22000 after A plan.

The pricing plans (A, X, Z, and D) are predetermined based on base vehicle price (including trim level) and options. I was originally going to quote the Ford Partner website for what the A Plan pricing was (the formula), but it looks like Ford has updated that website so that it now links the Partner code to the pricing plans that are presented. For my company, we only get pricing & details for the X Plan.

Ok I was just curious. Cause we test drove a 2010 fusion I4 with leather seats and had microsoft sync in it and all the steering wheel controls for the radio. Sticker was 24900 and A plan was 22---. We looked at a 2010 fusion sport fully loaded with v6 last night sticker was 29--- and the windshield said employee price 23265 or something like that. My dad didnt get why the fully loaded one was 600 more then the I4 with less options.

He thought maybe if you worked for ford you would get more off. Rather then my uncle working for ford and giving us his A plan. Sorry I know this is the F150 room but I figured maybe someone would know. I posted it somewhere else to and no one replied. More traffic here.

Some vehicals have more more mark up than others. The more options the more mark up. Car makers make more money on the loaded cars than the plane jane car. And a plan is figured of dealer invoice. The price is on the dealer invoice.
