I just put a grease seal in my rear differential (left side) and replaced the lube oil with Mobil 1 75W-140 I may need to add some friction modifier, but so far I haven't noticed any shudder on turns. But that's not what this thread is about.
When re-assembling the axle shaft to the hub, I found the torque spec to be 80 ft/lbs for each of the eight retaining bolts. After tightening them, I just thought that the spec of 80 was too low, and maybe I got it wrong.
Anybody sure of the spec on the "axle retaining bolts"?
