Tell you what scoops look good.Lund offers "Eclipse Series" dual hoodscoops. They offer three different sizes for a variety of different makes&models. They offer large(part #80001),medium(#80002),and small(mostly for cars)(#80003).I put a set of the medium size scoops on my 1990 fullsize Bronco's hood. They look really good. You should check their application guide first, but I'm guessing they list Explorers for part #80002(medium scoops).Best of all is no drilling is required to install a set of these. For an even cleaner,"factory" look, you could have a body shop blend them onto the stock hood.Hope this helps.
They just stick right on,so,yes, there is a slight "seam" around the scoops. You could always have a body shop blend them into the stock lines of the hood.I just put mine onto the Bronco's hood.I think they look good, but when I get the truck repainted next year,I'm going to have the shop blend the scoops into the hood for a more "factory"-type look.
Thank you very much I will definately look into that. If I can find a decent body shop I will definately look into that. Any idea on what kind of a cost I would be looking at? Thanks again.
