I say to save your money and buy something else. Beachbumcook has one installed that he was given for free from Racor. He sent me his UOA from before and after the filter was installed. The results were the same after as they were before. Thus, we deduced that there was no positive gain by installing it. Of course, this is just my (and his) $0.02 as I know a lot of guys that run them. Racor, FS2500, and Amsoil are the ones that I hear about most often.

The only way they make sense is if it is a second filter setup as a partial bypass and uses a 2 micron filter media. Then you can ise oil analysis and extend out your oil change intervals based upon the oil additive package holding up. That is the system that AMSOIL sells as a complete kit. However you also need to look at the cost to see if it is cost effective for what you are gaining. On DINO oil I would say no. On synthetic oil it may save you some money long term, depending on how far out it allows you to strech the oil changes.
