TRAILER Brake controller fault

I just robbed a factory integrated brake controller from my old truck to put into the new truck I just boutght because I loved the way it worked in the old truck. The problem is that now the old truck is showing a "TBC Fault" on the message center when you start up the truck. It's obviously looking for it's controller that is no longer there. What I need to know is how to get it to ignore this and stop putting the message up on the message center.

Anyone got any ideas

TCB will have to be programed by the dealer. Did you also take the brake master cylinder from the old truck - it's required.

I cant take the master cylinder over to the new truck. Its a deisel and uses a whole different brkae setup. Why would the master cylinder be required?

I don't know much about this system, but I do know the newer trucks are loaded with computers that talk to each other. No more old school bolt ons and swaps, it all has to be programmed to work together.
