I just robbed a factory integrated brake controller from my old truck to put into the new truck I just boutght because I loved the way it worked in the old truck. The problem is that now the old truck is showing a "TBC Fault" on the message center when you start up the truck. It's obviously looking for it's controller that is no longer there. What I need to know is how to get it to ignore this and stop putting the message up on the message center.
I don't know much about this system, but I do know the newer trucks are loaded with computers that talk to each other. No more old school bolt ons and swaps, it all has to be programmed to work together.
The TBC uses the Master Cylinder to apply the correct amount of voltage to the trailer brake circuit . It has to know the amount of brake pressure you are applying to work correctly.
