AE and Engine Temp ??

I have looked through all of the AE sensors and cannot find one for engine coolant temp. I would think it would be there. Am I missing it somewhere? My fan clutch is acting strange and I would like to monitor the coolant temp and fan actuation to see if there is a problem with the clutch. Took it out and cleaned it and radiators real good. Have a trip to OK next week and don't want the clutch acting up and eating my MPGs.

Nope... There is no coolant temp monitoring capability. Closest you can get is oil temp. It takes an external sensor to monitor the coolant temp, unless you have a standard, oddly enough.

Only manual transmissions can monitor coolant temps. Automatics cannot.

As Joe said, oil temps can be monitored, and are usually a good indication of engine coolant temps.

Thanks guys. I was hoping I was just overlooking it or not recognizing the terminology. I'll just watch the oil temp.
