Seafoam

I know it has been questioned here several times about using it in our diesels. so I went looking and thought I share these responses I found

Good job oversize. All that's left is the arguing........

Seriously, your research should answer many questions.

It's a really safe product to use. It's 100% petroleum, so no alcohol or other bad stuff in it...

I can attest to seafoam removing moisture from oil. I've used it multiple times on my f150 to remove water from the oil without changing the oil. It just dissapears.
I never had any doubts about it in the PSD oil, but I wouldn't mix it as strong due to the HEUI injectors.

It really is some good stuff. Honestly. I love it.
Cleans up old lawnmowers really good. Just start em with a heavy mixture of seafoam and watch it smoke. It will be like new when you crack open the case. It will burn all the carbon right out.

iv always used sea foam but iv never really used it in the diesel, i know it will work wonders on the old lawn mower, and old cars and even use it in my boat. just last week i put an half a can in the tank of my lawn mower because it was running like ****, within about 5-10 seconds of putting it in there the motor smoothed right out smoked a lot but ran real smooth where as before it would barely run.

Yea, Seafoam in crankcase will break loose stuck rings, clean all the sludge out.

I'd run 5k miles on my gasser, the oil would be so clean at 5k miles, I didn't want to change it, but would anyways.

They said not to run it as long in a diesel though from what It seemed like on the sight. I'd run 1 can with my 6 qt's of oil on the 302. Worked wonders on it.
Bout every 3 oil changes I'd do that. oil was always honey brown when I changed it.
I'm sure It would do wonders for diesel crank case. I'd put one can in for the 14 qt's it takes.
I'd be afraid to at the moment for me with the bad pedestal O-ring. Turbo leaking =*(
Then again, it might swell the o-ring right up as well. I have not tested how it works on O-rings on the bench yet. But it helped the gas truck out a lot in the crank case, running wise. As well as the old suck it though the Vacuum line trick. Just pop the brake booster line off and suck it in a bit at a time and rev the engine. The smoke is great, but it cleans the chamber out good.

I know I used it in my fuel once to try it split a can between both tanks saw some of the best fuel mileage Ive ever had in my truck, granted it was all highway driving too but it was over mountain passes of up to an 11% grade with upto a 9000 ft elevation change too all the way up to tree line nearing 14000 ft altitude. So Im concidering using it regularly as a fuel additive as its cheaper than a lot of the others. Also the data I posted was purely for there engine additive I didnt look into there tranny or other additives.

I am trying a bottle in my rear tank right now. I hope I notice a difference. I just washed my truck and that always adds more horses for some reason, lol. I am afraid to add anything but oil to the crankcase.
