EX hits brick wall geting on hwy

Ok,
so I'm getting on the hwy just lightly excelerating. Just as I get on the hwy, the truck jerks like I locked up the breaks. The tack jumped and then it was fine. How do I trouble shoot this? is it the motor, tranny, ?????

help

I second the CPS. The RPMs jumping is a clue -- maybe the truck thought it was red-lining and defueled. Does the Banks junk defeat the red-line?

If it continully shuts down and starts right back up try pulling your chip and cleaing it and where it slides onto the ecm. Had this problem with my old banks chip. Using DP-tunner now, much better. Thanks to the guys on here.

Banks does not do anything with the redline or top speed limiter.

The new CPS's arent any better then the old one. Most of us have changed out our New CPS for the old black one and keep the new grey one as a back up.

If you cps is doing this will it trigger a ses light?because i was driving home tonight in the rain with the wipers set on the constant low speed position (second 1 down when u turn them all the way up).And i had the radio on and i was going down hill, and i noticed the truck felt jerky under light throtle i didnt think much of it.but i happend to look down and my ses light was on,then it went right off.i know i have the black cps in my truck,so im just wondering if that will triggeer the light..also im going to get my truck scaned tommoro what codes should i look for?thanks and sorry to hijack

I'm picking up a CPS tomarrow.

My wife drove it to work and then we whent out to dinner and it started to pulse, and then it stalled. It did restart but I'm going to get one as soon as the parts store opens and then replace it at lunch.
