Does anybody know if anybody still sells the door check springs (S-shaped spring on the lower door hinge) for the 1977-1979 Ranchero? I need to rebuild my door hinges and I can find the bushings and pins no problem, but I have had no luck locating the spring,

 

Ford did not sell these springs separately (except on Fairmont & Zephyr ). They were only furnished with the hinge.

JST AUTOMOTIVE in Lebanon TN has TWO = 615-443-3086.

MCDONALDS OBSOLETE PARTS (812-359-4965) in Rockport IN shows TWO, but has not updated the info since 10/12/2007.

No Ford Dealer or other obsolete parts vendor has any.
