I have 2004 SC FX4 how big of job to change the front shocks?What type of tools are needed for this?

The only hassle is needing access to a heavy duty spring compressor. The rest is easy.

How many miles do you have? I have 115,000 miles an haven't noticed a difference in the ride.

 

You can get spring compressors from Autozone for $40, rented. Or just keep them...like I did. Don't go to the Autozone in League City, TX... Some jackass rented them and kept them.

Stock shocks are pretty much worthless after the first year. Get a new set put on and you'll be amazed at the difference. I had a set put on my '01 Expy after 60K miles. I couldn't believe the difference. If you don't mind getting the sears brand (Monroe or whatever they carry), they very ofter have free install deals.
