How hot can my transmission get before I should start worrying? I have the EGT gauge and I jus purchased the Edge Evolution programmer and I just want to be sure I'm not going to hurt anything.
Over 220ish and I'd be pulling over. When I had the stock cooler, I could get it over 200 empty. Now I REALLY have to be hammering it to get it over 140 (I have the 26-row 6.0L cooler now).
220 degrees F is pretty much redline for the tranny. If you are not towing, you should see temps 80 to 100 degrees above ambient temp.
Looking at your sig, You may want to reconsider the K&N air filter, many stories on this site about dusted turbos from particulates getting by the K&N
