Hello all & thanks in advance for the help. I have some tag numbers that I need help decoding.
These are from a 79 ish ford p/u. F150
Front axle differential tag: top line, 4 09 D9TA BCB
bottom line, 610068-3
Front axle differential web: 44 9F
Rear axle differential tag: top line, 3 54 D8TA ADA
bottom line, 603900-12
Rear axle differential web: 60 C-30255
Transfer case tag: top line, D9TA7A195 VA
bottom line, 3 17 79 205 66
I'm guessing the front axle is a Dana 44 w/ 4.09 gears & the rear is a Dana 60 w/ 3.54 gears. That's if both are unmolested. I know these axles were swapped in (8 lugs) & are not the originals. Anyway to verify what the gear ratios are? If these are whats really in it, there is no way the 4x4 will work w/out grenading the t/case.
