Hey everybody,the other day my 97 F350 stalled while idling twice in the morning.Then after work it was hard to start and stalled a few times.My buddy had a scan tool and it threw 3 codes,P1291,P1292 and P1295.He also had a spare IDM so I put that in and it has been running fine since then (3 days).Checked the next day and hadn't thrown any more codes.

My question is,was it the IDM or is it something else that fried the IDM?Is it the valve cover harness?If so where is the best place to buy them?

Does anybody know what the codes are?

1291 is a right bank short code, 1292 is a left bank short code, and if i recal a 1295 is a mutli fault code, sort of liek a misfire code but electricly. dont quote me, its late, i'm tired and its been a long time since i had those codes. they are not common codes to run into. double check you main wire harness where it runs over the left valve cover and near the turbo inlet boot. make sure there is no cuts or smashed wires.

Thanks guys.I haven't had a chance to look at the plugs yet.It is still running fine with the used IDM.I bought a reman off e-bay but I want to find out if I have another problem other than that before I put the other one in.
