hello im new and looking for advice, i just returned from overseas with navy, my wife has been driving my truck, 2002 f250 7.3 litre 4x4 on my return i notice my overdrive button doesn't work so it never allows me to disengage acts as if its not an option. i have found posts about intermitant flashing but mine doesnt work at all. just always light off. the manual says read switch out however my particular model switch has three conatcts instead of the two it shows in manual, i have continuity on 2 of the contacts, does anyone know how the switch should read or know of any other problem that could cause this. i cant seem to find a fuse or relay that controls it so any help would be greatly appreciated, also my e-brake light doesnt work with the ebrake, yet works when switch is turned to on position. havent checked into it much more worried about the od, but figured i would mention in case someone knows a way they're tied together or something thanks very much for any help

Take the plastic cover off of the steering column. There are three screws that go in from the bottom. Check the wires where they enter the shifter handle. One or more are either broken or worn through. Either fix them or install a new shifter handle for about $50.
