Diesel Klene it is. Now the SeaFoam. A question about that. I looked at the video and it looks like the same product that is added to the fuel is also added to the oil crank case, is this right? I just may use it on my wifes Sable. Now Cowboy65 you say that you add SeaFoam about 100 miles before an oil change. What if I was planning to have a sample sent to Blackstone. Would this effect the results?
Oh by the way thanks for everyone input on the fuel additive question.
One more question, does anyone know where to purchase SeaFoarm up here in Canada?
i thought seafoam was just a cleaner. You want a fuel additive that boost cetain and lubricates. Check the diesel shops for Stanadyne. or go to http://www.stanadyne.com/view.php?id=44

I add Seafoam to all of my vehicles before I change the oil. Especially, my Scarab. Moisture in marine engines is a constant problem.
Around here various stores sell a lot of it. Even at almost $10 a can, it moves quick. Autozone, Advance Auto, Wally World, etc. all carry it. At the local Advance Auto I frequent they have it 8 cans wide and 8 cans deep and usually there is a big hole there. They also sell it in the gallon can, which is what I usually buy.
If you send an oil sample to Blackstone, just tell them on the label that you added the Seafoam before you change the oil.
I used Seafoam for about 20 years when I was doing the motorcycle thing. A little seafoam in the gas tank of a motorcycle that has set up all winter will disolve the varnish (as aposed to breaking it up) and save carberator repairs. I have used it on lawn mowers and generators. Seafoam seems to be everywhere now, but in the old days, you could usually find it at Napa stores. I never used it in oil. I didn't know it was applicable for oil.
I second that ashless 2stroke oil. Better lubrication. The cetane rating is not as important as people make it out to be. More cetane slows the combustion. Diesel kleen does not do much for lubrication. Stadyne does a better job than diesel kleen. Seafoam I would think reduces the lubrication of the diesel. Remember our injectors rely on the diesel to lubricate them
how long (miles) have you been doing this? Any ill efects? Have to change fuel filters more, hurt any part of the fuel system? Do you add it to every gallon you put in or do you do it every other tank or something to that efect
Every tank. No ill effects. It is designed to burn so that is not an issue. I have been running it since the start of summer. There are a lot of people running it as well that have been for 50-100k+
