I believe you have to replace the whole switch assembly. I am pretty sure that I read that in a thread here or on another Ford site. Mine are out too and instead of buying a new one I am probably going to just live with it. It’s a little disappointing that my wife’s ’97 expy has all the lights working still. That’s 12 years of continuous service and mine couldn’t make it 5?
I had same problem my rear and passenger ones where off but the drivers ones light up
It was the lock switch when off and only driver controls the windows the lights on the rest will be off.
I have a few of the switches here on my desk that I took apart from an earlier (relevant) question.
If your good with handling small soldering/board jobs then you could replace it. Maybe finding the light emitting diodes from Digi-key or mouser or the like.
Otherwise the switch itself will have to be replaced. I think I paid 35 bux for my combo (driver-side) switch and $18+/- for the singles (OEM of course).
