Back about 25 years ago I used to be an "insulation installer" in the construction industry both commercial and residential.Which leads me to my question: I did this building once that had a sound room of some sort that we had to use a "GLUE PIN" style to install the insulation. This process intailed me taking these "pins" that had like a flat tab on one end with an aprrox. 6" long pin on it, dab some construction adhesive on the tab stick it to the drywall come back when dry stick the insulation on to these pins and used a "washer" type anchor to hold the insulation boards or sheets to the wall. After the installation you go back through and clip the ends of the pins down and thats that.........where can I find this type of product or ask about this kind of product with out somebody looking at you like you are speaking a different language? HELP!

This style is bent over to secure the insulation. Most of what I used to work with was shot studs on steel, and have very bad memories of an air powered cable hoist in a dumb waiter shaft lined with those pins to put in this afterthought of a patch.
Thanks for the info! Just took a little jog of the memory to recall the name of them and then ultimately where to get them locally. HILTI carries this product and there is one in very close proximity to me. Thank you very much for the stir of the brain!!
